Exam preparation - ACTIVITIES

1. What is an atom? Draw one.

2. Which are the three states of matter? Explain how are the atoms inside each state.

3. Complete these sentences:

Density is the relation between ________________ and ________________.
Shape is important when density is ___________________.
The density of water is _______________________.

4. Calculate the density of these materials and say if they will sink or float.
Plastic: mass=12, volume=15
Sand: mass=4, volume= 3
Iron: mass=54, volume=13

5. Explain why sometimes you and sometimes you sink.

6. Explain what is the changes of state. Use the words: solidification, evaporation, condensation, melting and reverse sublimation.
